The AWA section is designed to assess your capabilities in being able to express yourself clearly by utilizing grammatically correct English. The AWA section will require you to analyze a given piece of information and carry out a discussion that centers on the given statement and you will also be required to carry out a critical analysis. Related skills are tested in this section with the help of two questions for which you will have to provide answers in the form of essays. These two essays that have to be written by you in this section are the Issue essay and the Argument essay.
You will be presented with two topics for the Issue essay of the AWA section. Each of the topics will address a general issue from any perspective. You can make a choice by picking up one of the given topics for writing your essay. You will be given 45 minutes for writing this essay. You will be required to present your views on the given issue. You may support the views of the writer or discuss your own views. However, be sure to include relevant examples in support of your views. Your essay should reflect your focused outlook and your clarity of ideas without compromising on the formation of correct sentence structures. This essay of the AWA section will be utilized to evaluate your ability to present your views in a clear, concise and systematic manner.
You will be presented with one topic for the Argument essay. There will no choice available and you will have to write an essay in response to the Argument topic presented to you within 30 minutes. The topic presented will have a claim accompanied by evidence in its support. Your essay should critically analyze the given claim for its validity by investigating the supporting evidence. This essay of the AWA section will be utilized for evaluating your abilities to reason with conviction and to critically analyze given information.
