Let the sum be P, R and T be the rate of interest and time respectively.

Amount=P(1+R/100)^T

=3500(1+12/100)^2

For Rs. 2000 invested for 3 years, we have

Amount=2000(1+12/100)^3

=2000(112/100)^3

=2809.85
